Our History

Mother Lillie, Our Foundress, was born in Nogales, Arizona, and spent her childhood in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and in San Diego, California.

As a young woman she worked as a missionary among the poor and, when she was 35, took vows as a Third Order Discalced Carmelite.

On March 19, 1992, The Solemnity of St. Joseph, while on Pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal, Mother Lillie received a call to found a Religious Community dedicated to Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, in the Spirit of the Fatima message, for the building up of the Church in the World and in support of Catholic Priests.

Blessed Mother Mary appeared to three shepherds in Fatima, Portugal, on May 13, 1917.

Within two years of her return from Portugal, a benefactor donated land atop a desolate mountain in Tecate, B.C., Mexico, 25 miles from Tijuana.

It was at this location that Mother and three sisters began living in a small camper.  They were without food, water, or electricity, but Divine Providence sustained them.

Despite all this, many young women began to join this newly forming community.

Mother Lillie sought guidance from fellow foundress Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta who told her that the foundation was the work of God and that she must give it to Him!

It
To
God!"

Rome for a Blessing!

On November 24, 1994,
Mother Lillie was received by
Holy Father John Paul II,
who gave the community his blessing and expressed his joy at seeing contemplatives in Mexico.

This blessing sealed Mother's vocation and  gave her the courage and the strength she needed to found a new community in the Church.

On June 18, 1995, the Apostolic Nuncio,
Most Rev. Girolamo Prigione, blessed Mount Tabor Monastery,
declaring it an
“Oasis of Peace”.

In June of 2007,
the sisters received permission
from their new Bishop for the

of the Blessed Sacrament to continue their mission to pray to sustain the ministry of the Priests and the conversion of the World.
